August 2nd 2027 - The Day of the LORD

The Day of the LORD
O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the LORD.

Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: And I will execute vengeance in anger and fury upon the heathen, such as they have not heard. Alas for the day! for the day of the LORD [is] at hand, and as a destruction from the Almighty shall it come. For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. The day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by [that] man whom he hath ordained.

Hold thy peace at the presence of the Lord GOD: for the day of the LORD [is] at hand: for the LORD hath prepared a sacrifice, he hath bid his guests. And it shall come to pass in the day of the LORD'S sacrifice, that I will punish the princes, and the king's children, and all such as are clothed with strange apparel. The great day of the LORD [is] near, [it is] near, and hasteth greatly, [even] the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly. Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the LORD'S wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land. Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD'S anger.

But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation. Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds. [Let] the high [praises] of God [be] in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand; To execute vengeance upon the heathen, [and] punishments upon the people; To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do [this], saith the LORD of hosts.

Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah [and] against Jerusalem. And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it. For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem, I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and [for] my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land. And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation [even] to that same time: Proclaim ye this among the Gentiles; Prepare war, wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up: Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I [am] strong. Assemble yourselves, and come, all ye heathen, and gather yourselves together round about: thither cause thy mighty ones to come down, O LORD. Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about. Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD [is] near in the valley of decision. The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining. Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger. So shall ye know that I [am] the LORD your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more.

And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over. He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many [countries] shall be overthrown: He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape. But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians [shall be] at his steps. And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts [of armour, even] a great company [with] bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords: Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet: Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: [and] many people with thee. And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel: (And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.) Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee. Thou didst strike through with his staves the head of his villages: they came out as a whirlwind to scatter me: their rejoicing [was] as to devour the poor secretly. Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, [that] at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought: And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates, To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places [that are now] inhabited, and upon the people [that are] gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land. Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil? Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog, Thus saith the Lord GOD; In that day when my people of Israel dwelleth safely, shalt thou not know [it]? And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army: And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes. And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, [that] my fury shall come up in my face. And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand. Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands, and the people that [is] with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and [to] the beasts of the field to be devoured. And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying of them, that they may cleanse the land. Yea, all the people of the land shall bury [them]; and it shall be to them a renown the day that I shall be glorified, saith the Lord GOD. And they shall sever out men of continual employment, passing through the land to bury with the passengers those that remain upon the face of the earth, to cleanse it: after the end of seven months shall they search. And, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD; Speak unto every feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, [even] a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh, and drink blood. Ye shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of bullocks, all of them fatlings of Bashan. And ye shall eat fat till ye be full, and drink blood till ye be drunken, of my sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you. Thus ye shall be filled at my table with horses and chariots, with mighty men, and with all men of war, saith the Lord GOD. And I will set my glory among the heathen, and all the heathen shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid upon them. So the house of Israel shall know that I [am] the LORD their God from that day and forward. For in my jealousy [and] in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel; So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that [are] upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground. In that day, saith the LORD, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the people with blindness. And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] a great tumult from the LORD shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbour, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbour. And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen round about shall be gathered together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance. And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord GOD: every man's sword shall be against his brother. And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that [are] with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone. Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I [am] the LORD.

Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for [it is] nigh at hand; A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: Thou shalt grope at noonday, as the blind gropeth in darkness, and thou shalt not prosper in thy ways: and thou shalt be only oppressed and spoiled evermore, and no man shall save [thee]: (but the LORD [will be] the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel). And it shall come to pass, [that] whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call. For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city. And it shall come to pass, [that] in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off [and] die; but the third shall be left therein. These shall escape out of his hand, [even] Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon. And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them:

Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. The chariots of God [are] twenty thousand, [even] thousands of angels: the Lord [is] among them, [as in] Sinai, in the holy [place]. The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand [went] a fiery law for them. His glory covered the heavens, and the earth was full of his praise. And [his] brightness was as the light; he had horns [coming] out of his hand: and there [was] the hiding of his power. Before him went the pestilence, and burning coals went forth at his feet. A great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, [even] to the years of many generations. A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land [is] as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them. The appearance of them [is] as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run. Like the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array. Before their face the people shall be much pained: all faces shall gather blackness. They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks: Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and [when] they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded. The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake. They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run upon the wall, they shall climb up upon the houses; they shall enter in at the windows like a thief. The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining: (For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of Man be. Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven.) And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord GOD, that I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the clear day: And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] the light shall not be clear, [nor] dark: But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: The sun [and] moon stood still in their habitation. It shall come to pass, [that] at evening time it shall be light. At the light thine arrows go on, At the brightness, the glittering of thy spear. I will remove far off from you the northern [army], and will drive him into a land barren and desolate, with his face toward the east sea, and his hinder part toward the utmost sea, and his stink shall come up, and his ill savour shall come up, because he hath done great things. And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which [is] before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, [and there shall be] a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south. And there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, [and] so great. And ye shall flee [to] the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, [and] all the saints with thee. He stood, and measured the earth: he beheld, and drove asunder the nations; and the everlasting mountains were scattered, the perpetual hills did bow: his ways [are] everlasting. I saw the tents of Cushan in affliction: [and] the curtains of the land of Midian did tremble. Was the LORD displeased against the rivers? [was] thine anger against the rivers? [was] thy wrath against the sea, that thou didst ride upon thine horses [and] thy chariots of salvation? Thy bow was made quite naked, [according] to the oaths of the tribes, [even thy] word. Selah. Thou didst cleave the earth with rivers. The mountains saw thee, [and] they trembled: the overflowing of the water passed by: the deep uttered his voice, [and] lifted up his hands on high. And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp [is] very great: for [he is] strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORD [is] great and very terrible; and who can abide it? Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end [is] it for you? the day of the LORD [is] darkness, and not light. [Shall] not the day of the LORD [be] darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it? For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Therefore let us not sleep, as [do] others; but let us watch and be sober.

And the heathen shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity: because they trespassed against me, therefore hid I my face from them, and gave them into the hand of their enemies: so fell they all by the sword. According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions have I done unto them, and hid my face from them. Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name; After that they have borne their shame, and all their trespasses whereby they have trespassed against me, when they dwelt safely in their land, and none made [them] afraid. And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: And [one] shall say unto him, What [are] these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, [Those] with which I was wounded [in] the house of my friends. And they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for [his] only [son], and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for [his] firstborn. In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon. And I will turn your feasts into mourning, and all your songs into lamentation; and I will bring up sackcloth upon all loins, and baldness upon every head; and I will make it as the mourning of an only [son], and the end thereof as a bitter day. When I have brought them again from the people, and gathered them out of their enemies' lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations; Then shall they know that I [am] the LORD their God, which caused them to be led into captivity among the heathen: but I have gathered them unto their own land, and have left none of them any more there. Neither will I hide my face any more from them: for I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.

The prophet Daniel is emphatic of a day in our future concerning a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time. This is speaking of the time of the end, when the last indignation has reached its maximum. In spite of the 20th century containing World War I and World War II, and the holocaust of the Jews, this prophecy stands as a reminder to humanity that we have not yet seen the final conclusion of the violence that is prophesied to take place. The “time of trouble such as never was” refers to a crisis in the Middle East that results in an ultimatum concerning the existence of Israel. Most are familiar with the term “Armageddon.” There is only one reference in the Bible to Armageddon. It is also known as the War of God Almighty. It is important to understand that God is in sovereign control of each detail of the calamities that are to take place. This war upholds the righteousness of God in judging the sinful world. The wickedness of man has reached a boiling point. Nations rise up against other nations, and kingdoms against kingdoms. The love of many wax cold. The world is headed into a crisis. The world economies are on the brink of collapse. Everyone is worried about the threat of nuclear war on the horizon. People are worried about what will happen to the peace negotiations in the Middle East. A few years pass. To maintain peace, the land of Israel is divided. Russia decides to spoil Israel. All nations are gathered together in the valley of Jehoshaphat. The United States, Great Britain, and all her English speaking allies push against the king of the north, and do their best to defend Israel and stop Russia and her allies from spoiling her to no avail. Russia pushes back to invade Jerusalem. The fate of the Jews is at stake. Her friends are too weak militarily to give her aid. The Jews are severely outnumbered. At this moment, in their final moment of desperation, the Jews need their Messiah to save them. Half of the city of Jerusalem goes forth into captivity. The Russian army and her allies have broken the last lines of defense and smite two thirds of the Jews. In spite of their best efforts, the Jews cannot defend themselves. They cry out in the name of the LORD their God. It becomes dark in the middle of the day. All of a sudden, a tremor is felt throughout the land. The tremor is subtle for a moment, and then gets volatile. The Jews begin to flee the city towards the nearby mountains. They run for their lives. The tremors are felt throughout all the land of Israel. Again, suddenly, the tremors begin to disturb the ground in all the surrounding regions. The buildings in the cities fall to the ground. The mountains start to move. The birds in the sky are numerous. Then, an extremely loud noise erupts throughout Israel, louder than thunder. The noise comes from under the earth. A tectonic plate from deep inside the earth has slipped. The land mass miles underneath the earth collapses and falls. On the surface, there is a fault line that runs through a mountain in the east of Jerusalem, the Mount of Olives. The mountain splits into two halves, causing an unprecedented earthquake. The earth is moved out of its regular orbit. This causes people worldwide to see the stars move. All buildings, including the buildings in the cities on the opposite side of the world, fall to the ground. All who remained inside Jerusalem died from the shock. All of Israel’s enemies are instantly delivered up by the devastating force of the earthquake. The timing of the earthquake is miraculous. Significant geologic changes are made to Israel overnight. Rivers go from Jerusalem to the Sea of Galilee as well as the Dead Sea. Mount Zion becomes the most elevated area in Israel. The mountainous terrain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem is turned as a plain.

After the earthquake, the Jews that fled return to their cities. They are convinced that their Messiah was responsible for saving them. They go to Jerusalem to meet him. The Jews are blessed by the grace and supplications that the LORD has bestowed upon them. Their Messiah commissions them to build the Temple, a house of prayer for all nations to come and worship God. The Messiah declares a law unto all nations afar off to submit to his authority. The Jewish nation wants to hold a great feast in his honor at the Feast of Tabernacles. Right after the feast, a gentleman approaches the Messiah and recognizes a scar on his hand. Upon a closer look, he looks at the other hand and notices another scar. The gentleman asks “What are these wounds in thine hands?” The Messiah answers “Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.” The gentleman falls to both knees and weeps bitterly. His commotion gets the attention of the Jewish priesthood. The priests also inquire of the matter. As they beheld his hands and his feet, their hearts burned from within. They looked upon him whom they have pierced. Immediately they fell to their knees and with one voice they shouted “Hosanna; Blessed [is] he that cometh in the name of the Lord!  Adonai Yahoshua the Messiah!”

Amos 8:9 - The day of Yahweh

Amos 8:9 - At Noon
Amos 8:9 - And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord GOD, that I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the clear day:

With respect to the days that feature solar eclipses visible in Jerusalem, it will be the objective of this article to demonstrate how valuable this passage in Amos really is in narrowing down the possibilities for what will potentially be the Day of the LORD. I would like to mention in the beginning that this verse finds a fulfillment in the New Testament, during the first coming of Jesus Christ, on the day he died. Notice in Matthew 27:45 that “from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.” The sixth hour was noonday for the Jew, or in our vernacular, 12:00 PM, and it was dark from noonday until 3:00 PM, or the ninth hour. What caused it to be dark? Keep in mind that it was Passover on the day Jesus died, a day of a full moon, which was Nisan 14. A solar eclipse could have only occurred on a new moon, which occurs at the end of a Jewish month, either on the 29th or the 30th day. Therefore, since it was at least close to a full moon as far as the eye could tell, it is astronomically impossible that this was a solar eclipse that caused the darkness for three hours. A lunar eclipse does not explain the darkness either because the earth casts its shadow on the moon to cause the moon to darken. Therefore, what would be responsible for darkening the sun? The conclusion of the matter is this is a real miracle. There is no scientific explanation for it. Because of this miracle, it must be understood that God can always act outside the laws of space-time and the laws of planetary motion that he has established. Therefore, the conjectures that I have outlined are only valid under the assumption that God chooses to time this day according to the laws of planetary motion set forth.

The following exercise is to show the distance of the shadow created by the 8/2/2027 solar eclipse to the city of Jerusalem. The closer the shadow is to Jerusalem, the darker it will be. The darkest moment will occur at the minimum distance.

According to the above chart, the closest point of the shadow of the greatest eclipse to Jerusalem occurs precisely at 12:00 PM Israel Standard Time! I will emphasize that this is Standard Time. It will actually occur at 1:00 PM Daylight Time, but remember that Daylight Savings is an invention of man that does not apply to how God tracks time. At its closest proximity, 691.2636 kilometers, 12:00 PM is the darkest possible moment of the eclipse over Jerusalem. The shadow will not cause complete darkness over Jerusalem, but the light is withdrawn enough to the effect that “the light shall not be clear, nor dark.” Total darkness would actually occur in the middle of Egypt (isn't it interesting that Egypt is mentioned in verse 8 of the context? See below).

Amos 8:8 - Shall not the land tremble for this, and every one mourn that dwelleth therein? and it shall rise up wholly as a flood; and it shall be cast out and drowned, as [by] the flood of Egypt.

A flood can figuratively describe a mobilized army in Scripture. For an example, see Jeremiah 46:7-8. Noah's flood, what Christ likened his coming to, is a figure for all the world's armies being mobilized, an excellent figure for Armageddon. Russia will be the fierce king ruling Egypt at this point in time (Isaiah 19:4, Daniel 11:42), and will "drown" Israel by a flood (military invasion). The Israelites will be cast out of their land as a wandering bird cast out of her nest (Isaiah 16:2). The land will tremble because of the great earthquake. Christ intervenes to save them from Russia.

God said that he will cause the sun to go down at noon, and will darken the earth on a clear day. Comparing this verse to the language in Zechariah, “And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] the light shall not be clear, [nor] dark: But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night…” it becomes evident that the two prophecies are related to the same event. Combining the revelations of the prophets Amos and Zechariah, we can determine that the light shall not be clear, nor dark, not day, nor night, starting at noon, or 12:00 PM Israel Standard Time. How can we be sure that the event of the sun going down at noon is related to the light not being clear nor dark in Zechariah 14, and the sign of the Son of Man in heaven of Matthew 24? If we carefully study the parallel between the three prophecies in their contexts, we notice that all of them involve the mourning of the people afterward.

The context of Zechariah 12 is emphatically clear that the Jews will recognize their Messiah by the wounds in his hands (verse 10), and realizing what they have done, their people go into a state of mourning. The mourning is stated to occur in Jerusalem, and compared to the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon (verse 11). Megiddo is where we derive the term "Armageddon", which means "a heap of sheaves in a valley for judgment". Christ will save the Jews during Armageddon (immediately after the tribulation of those days), by standing on the Mount of Olives on a day that the light is not clear, nor dark over Jerusalem. The mourning will occur during or just after the Feast of Tabernacles in the fall of 2027. Recall that in the past history of the Jews during the time of Ezra and Nehemiah, the Jews wept on the fall Feast of Trumpets (Nehemiah 8:2, 1st day of the 7th month) when they heard Ezra read them the law (Nehemiah 8:9). They were also mourning shortly after the Feast of Tabernacles (15th-22nd day of the 7th month) on the 24th day.

Nehemiah 8:18 - Also day by day, from the first day unto the last day, he read in the book of the law of God. And they kept the feast seven days; and on the eighth day [was] a solemn assembly, according unto the manner.
Nehemiah 9:1 - Now in the twenty and fourth day of this month the children of Israel were assembled with fasting, and with sackclothes, and earth upon them.

This, perhaps, is written as a historical type of what is to be fulfilled in the latter days.

Another unfulfilled Messianic prophecy that has a reference to the sun going down at noon is found in Isaiah 16. Consider:
Isaiah 16:1-5 - Send ye the lamb to the ruler of the land from Sela to the wilderness, unto the mount of the daughter of Zion. For it shall be, [that], as a wandering bird cast out of the nest, [so] the daughters of Moab shall be at the fords of Arnon. Take counsel, execute judgment; make thy shadow as the night in the midst of the noonday; hide the outcasts; bewray not him that wandereth. Let mine outcasts dwell with thee, Moab; be thou a covert to them from the face of the spoiler: for the extortioner is at an end, the spoiler ceaseth, the oppressors are consumed out of the land. And in mercy shall the throne be established: and he shall sit upon it in truth in the tabernacle of David, judging, and seeking judgment, and hasting righteousness.
The lamb, of course, is referring to Jesus Christ. The shadow of the solar eclipse occurs in the midst of the noonday. The darkness hides the outcasts, which are the Jews fleeing as fugitives from the land of Israel (Zechariah 14:5). They escape into Moab, which is one of the regions prophesied to be spared during Armageddon (Daniel 11:41). The spoiler of the land is Gog the king of the north, or Russia and her allies (Ezekiel 38:5-6). Shortly after Christ intervenes, the throne of David will be established in mercy, as well as judgment and righteousness.
One must begin to question how much this could be a mere coincidence that the inspired Word of God predicts that the sun will go down at noon, 12:00 PM, and the earth will be darkened. Just take a moment to fathom the fact that God has been keeping track of every minute of our history! Every minute! This scientific evidence of the timing of the darkest moment of the total solar eclipse in Jerusalem occurring at exactly 12:00 PM on 8/2/2027, coupled with the inspired Biblical statements of how the sky appears to be not clear, nor dark and not day, nor night, on the Day of the LORD, and God's promise to cause the sun to go down at noon, and make his shadow as the night in the midst of the noonday, is the basis for one accepting that August 2nd 2027 will be the Day of the LORD. This is the point where one’s faith is tested. Are the events prophesied in the Bible concerning the Day of the LORD really going to happen? If your answer is in the affirmative, then you must contend that these prophecies are histories written in advance. Therefore, could this be the exact day that Jesus Christ will stand on the Mount of Olives? If not this day, then what are the other possibilities?

The Latter Day Sign of Jonah

Light Not Clear Nor Dark

One of the most profound details given concerning the Day of the LORD is the condition of the sky. A description of the sun, moon, and stars is given in many parts of Scripture. Although they can symbolically refer to the positions of authority in the governments of the world, God intended them to be used for signs, and seasons, and days, and years (Genesis 1:14). This is God’s way of keeping track of the natural cycle of time. The motion of the heavenly bodies determines night and day, evening and morning, summer and winter, and when new months begin.

In reference to the prophet Zechariah in Chapter 14, there is a detailed description of the Day of the LORD. We know from other parts of the prophetic Word that the land of Israel is divided for gain (Daniel 11:39, Joel 3:2). This is done in attempt to maintain regional peace, however, Zechariah reveals that Israel is a “spoil” divided in the midst of the other nations. In Ezekiel Chapter 38, Gog is responsible for taking Israel for a spoil, and a prey. As a result, Jerusalem is sieged. Houses are rifled, and women are ravished. Half of the city goes forth into captivity (Zechariah 14:2). Two thirds of the Jews are killed in a massacre. From a human angle, especially to the unbelieving Jew in God’s promise to save them, all hope appears to be lost. It appears that God has forever abandoned Israel. This is a sentiment held my many Christians today. However, in spite of what appears to be a total annihilation of the Jews, God has promised to deliver them. The LORD will go forth into battle in the same manner as he did in the days of old. At the most tender, desperate moment, the LORD, manifested in the Lord Jesus Christ, stands on the Mount of Olives, and causes the mountain to cleave eastward and westward, and to move toward the north and toward the south. This is the result of a massive earthquake. In fact, from a physical standpoint, there has never been an earthquake of this magnitude since man has been in existence. The surviving Jews flee away as they did in the days of the earthquake that occurred during the reign of Uzziah king of Judah. After this description of what occurs in Jerusalem, one of the most interesting descriptions of the day that this occurs is given. The passage is quoted below:

Zechariah 14:6 - And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark:

This, of course, is referring to the day that the world-wide earthquake occurs. This passage has baffled Bible scholars for centuries. In fact, it has given translators of this passage a difficult job in correctly interpreting the Hebrew. Other translations have rendered the phrase “not be clear, nor dark” as “no cold or frost”, as in the NIV, ESV, and RSV. These translations are following the Septuagint Greek. After researching the matter, it will become evident that the King James rendering is the most excellent. The Hebrew word "yaqar", translated "clear", is also translated "brightness" in Job 31:26, speaking of the moon. Many scholars have taken this passage and interpreted it metaphorically. I will attempt to interpret the passage at its most literal value. After all, if you read the 14th Chapter in its entirety, the literal import of the other passages is clear. Hermeneutically, it does not make sense to isolate this verse and change the rules of interpretation. The prophet is indicating a literal event that will happen, in which, once it becomes a historical event, each detail will see a literal fulfillment. Therefore, the “light” in verse 6 is just as literal as the Mount of Olives cleaving eastward and westward in verse 4. The light is derived from the heavenly bodies in the sky, namely, the sun, the moon, and the stars. God has chosen to use the movement of the heavenly bodies in the past for signs. For example, when king Hezekiah was sick unto death, the prophet Isaiah told him that he was going to die. After Hezekiah prayed to God to live, God not only promised Hezekiah fifteen more years, God gave Hezekiah a sign that the sun would move backward ten degrees across the sky according to the dial of Ahaz (Isaiah 38:8). This sign was given in order that Hezekiah would have faith in what God promised him. Even so, this sign concerning the light is given unto us in order that we also might have faith. The verse is worded such that we are told that the light will not be clear, but at the same time it will not be completely dark. It is given as a riddle, as part of a mystery. To the observer of the sky, the language seems to indicate a moment in which the moon is directly in front of the sun, blocking it from view on the earth. In other words, the phrase is describing the effect of a solar eclipse. More importantly, it is describing the effect of a solar eclipse that is visible from Jerusalem! This is most important to understand because solar eclipses occur regularly every year. They usually occur twice, and sometimes they occur three times in a single calendar year. Looking at the sky from Jerusalem, most of these eclipses will occur during the middle of the night at some remote point on earth, or during the day where the moon’s shadow does not come close enough to Jerusalem to block all or part of the sun. However, there are a few solar eclipses that are visible from Jerusalem in our near future in the 21st century. If we conclude that the Day of the LORD occurs on the day of a solar eclipse that is visible from Jerusalem, and we know how to calculate the motion of the sun and the moon in the sky based on Kepler’s laws of motion of heavenly bodies, it is possible to narrow down the possibilities mathematically when that great Day will be. I believe that God intended it to be this way. He has chosen to reward his faithful servants in the last pre-millennial generation of time who diligently seek the mind of God to know his secrets. Keep in mind that this is NOT calculating the exact day and hour of the advent of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord Jesus must already be present in the earth, long before this day arrives. He would have already come as a thief in the night, and no man knows that day nor the hour, not the angels of heaven, neither the Son, but the Father only (Mark 13:32). Rather, the solar eclipse will only determine what day Jesus Christ triumphs over his enemies in the War of God Almighty in power and great glory.

Zechariah is a prophet that prophesied between 520-480 B.C. He prophesied during the time of Ezra and Nehemiah when the Jews were in the process of rebuilding Jerusalem. The 14th chapter in Zechariah is often attributed to have been written toward the end of the days he prophesied in 480 B.C. It is interesting that during this period of time, there was a solar eclipse visible over Jerusalem on Tuesday, October 2, 480 B.C. The entire event occurred between 1:20 PM and 4:16 PM Israel Standard Time, with the darkest moment occurring at 3:08 PM. Because the time of sunset was 5:53 PM, the sun became totally visible again for about 90 minutes in the evening time. It might be that Zechariah witnessed the eclipse occur during the afternoon, and saw the sun appear again at evening time. Although it is impossible to prove, this could have been Zechariah’s inspiration for describing a particular day in the latter days in which the light would not be clear, nor dark, not day, nor night, and that at evening time it shall be light.

THE 2520 Years

THE 2520 DANIEL 4.
Now lets turn to Daniel 4 where it was revealed that the king of Babylon was to suffer from a form of madness for a period of seven times. [READ 4v16]. A time as we've seen donates 360 days, so 7 time equates to 2520 years.
This was to commence after the tree denoting the Babylonian power is cut down v14, the stump banded by Iron and Brass, and then wetted by the dew of heaven. The metals Brass and Iron denote the Greek and Roman empires as explained in the image in Dan 2 as seen by the king of Babylon in his recurring nightmares. So we understand that the destiny of the Babylon kingdom would be perpetuated by the Greek and Roman empires for seven times or 2520 years after which the Babylonian power would be restored.
The period commences, v14, when the tree is first cut down, which commenced when Babylon was overrun by Cyrus the Persian, in BC 538. The fleeing of the beasts v14 denoted the release of nations from the Babylonian servitude by Cyrus, but Babylon wasn't finally destroyed as a city until BC 514, by Darius, after the Euphrates was again diverted from its channel (as Cyrus had done years before), and after a 20 month siege. 2530 years from BC 514 brings us to AD 2007, after which we understand from v34 that there will be the restoration of a great king over the empire of men. Such a king of fierce countenance will fall in the vale of Jehoshaphat, at the battle of Armageddon, in the time of trouble such as never was since there was a nation. At that time the kings of the earth will be made to know that the Most High liveth for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and His kingdom from generation to generation.
So we understand from this vision that from 2007 onwards, a king of fierce countenance, the king of the north will arise and start to make his move in preparation for the great battle of Armageddon,  involving all the kingdoms of this world.

THE TIME, TIMES AND DIVIDING OF TIME

THE TIME, TIMES AND DIVIDING OF TIME DANIEL 7.
The next time period we'd like to look at is recorded in Ch 7. It relates to the little horn of the great and the fourth beast. Its found in Dan 7:25, but lets read from v23-25.
The period is given as a time, a times, and a half time. How are we to understand this. The largest time period of Gen1v15 that we looked at earlier was a year, 360 days, so we might quite reasonably presume that 3 and a half time equates to 1260 years. But we don't need to presume this, because it is confirmed for us in Rev 12. [Read v14, and then v6]. The time periods mentioned in these verses are identical, as the context would show, but they are numerated in different ways. 1260 days is equated with a 3 and a half times, and so back in Daniel, we deduce the father awarded the little horn of the goat a 1260 year period of power.
The great and terrible fourth beast denoted the Roman power, whilst the  little horn symbolised the Holy Roman Empire. The Holy Roman Empire was founded over a period of time culminating in AD 800 when Charlemagne was crowned emperor of the Holy Roman Empire. The time period ends when the power to persecute the saints of the Most High has come to an end. But when did it start. Some start it from the various decrees made by Roman emperors like Justinian and Phocas when they gave the Bishop of Rome temporal power. The time period however measures the life span of the little horn itself, and the horn being Holy Roman Empire, couldn't persecute the faithful before it was established. Notice from 7v24that the little horn arose from the fall of three horns before it. The horns denoting the Gothic kingdoms of Europe.
J.Bryce in his book “The Holy Roman Empire” charts the rise of Charles the Great.
1.      In AD 756 Pepin at the call of the Pope entered Italy and overcame the Lombards.
2.      In AD 758 his son Charles the Great became king of the Franks of Neustria, and in AD 771 King of the Franks in Austrasia.
3.      In AD 773 Charles defeated the Lombards again, and added northern Italy to his dominions, he fought in Spain in AD 778, and was crowned emperor on Christmas Day, AD 800.
The little horn therefore came to power we would suggest with the crowning of Charles in AD800. Now if we add 1260 years to this it would bring us to AD 2060, after which v26 indicates his dominion would be taken away to consume and destroy, and his power given v27 to the saints of the most high, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve him.

THE 2,300 EVENING - MORNINGS DANIEL 8

THE 2,300 EVENING - MORNINGS DANIEL 8.

The first one we'd like to look at is referred to in Dan 8:13-14, here v13, one of the Saint's asks v13 “How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot?”. The sanctuary refers to the Jerusalem temple, whilst the host, to the people of Israel. The reply is given in v14 [READ]. “And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.
So we understand from these verses that,
1.      the vision would be for a period of 2300 days, or more accurately evening and mornings in the original Hebrew,
2.      that during this period the temple in Jerusalem and its people would be trodden under foot,
3.      but after this period the sanctuary would finally be cleansed.

Interestingly the whole vision, commencing in 8:1 through to v25, is referred to as the vision of the evening and morning, v26. The term is first used in Gen. 1:5 where the evening and the morning together were said to form a day. And in using the term it alludes to the evening-morning sacrifice spoken of in Num 28:4, which under the law required the offering of two lambs daily in the temple, one in the morning, and the other in the evening. So we see that the vision not only suggested that the temple and people would be downtrodden or suppressed, but it would be to such an extent that they would not be able to perform their normal temple worship until the end of the 2300 days.
So when  did it start. Well the vision concerned a Ram and an He-goat, recorded in v1-12. In v20 we are told that the ram represented the empire of the Medes and Persians and the goat empire of Greece, led as we know from history by Alexander the Great. [READ v20].
The first event that took place in the vision is recorded in v6-7 [READ].
The generally key dates and events of Alexander were: -
1.      His birth in BC 356.
2.      The succession of his father in BC 336,
3.      He took Thebes in BC 335
4.      He set out for Persia in the spring of BC 334.
5.      The battle of Issus took place in BC 333,
6.      He took Tyre in BC 332,
7.      Jerusalem in BC 332,
8.      He defeated Darius near Arbela in the autumn of BC 331.
9.      He took Babylon in BC 331 and Darius was assassinated in BC 330.
10.  He died at Babylon in BC 323.
We might normally be a little bit concerned about the accuracy of such dates, given the variety of different calendars and methods of dating years down through the ages, but in reality we understand these have more recently been substantiated from computer simulations of the planets and eclipses. Just before the battle of Gaugamela, Arrian a Greek historian records that there was an eclipse of the moon, which has been aligned with our calendar at 9pm on the 20th September, BC 331.

The first event, after the appearance of the two symbolic animals, was the running of the goat towards the ram, and the smiting of the ram and it’s two horns until they broke. This depicted the rapid conquest of Persia by Alexander. Alexander crossed the Hellespont into Asia at the start of the campaigning season of BC 334. Our May of that year found him at the river Granicus, a small river in North West Asia Minor: and it was there that he won his first victory over the Persians. We could however leave the start to the latest point that vision could permit when Jerusalem was taken, two years later in BC332. But if we adding 2300 years to BC334 we are brought to 1967 a very significant year for Israel, for on the 18th May Egypt ordered the UN to remove its force from the Israeli border, and on the 5th June the 6 day war broke out leading to the liberation of Jerusalem itself.

Since 1967, Jerusalem has no longer been subdued in the same way it had been, but quite clearly the sanctuary has not yet been cleansed; in fact there is no sanctuary to cleanse at present. But the word “then”, doesn't strictly require the sanctuary to be cleansed immediately after the 2300 days are concluded, do they.
In fact Ez 45:19 indicates that the building and the cleansing of the temple will be performed by the master after his return, which we believe will take several years. Solomon's temple for instance took 7 years.
The important point to note however from this vision is that until the 2300 years of the vision were complete, the beginning of the millennium, the building and cleansing of the temple couldn't begin. We believe the 2300 years have concluded, and so the return of the master and establishment of the millennium are very close in the scheme of things.

Ezekiel's Millennial Temple

Ezekiel's Millennial Temple

And he said, Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the indignation: for at the time appointed the end [shall be]. And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name [is] The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD: Even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both. And the crowns shall be to Helem, and to Tobijah, and to Jedaiah, and to Hen the son of Zephaniah, for a memorial in the temple of the LORD. And they [that are] far off shall come and build in the temple of the LORD, and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you. And [this] shall come to pass, if ye will diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God.

And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled. (And she shall then continue in the blood of her purifying three and thirty days; she shall touch no hallowed thing, nor come into the sanctuary, until the days of her purifying be fulfilled.) Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain [saint] which spake, How long [shall be] the vision [concerning] the daily [sacrifice], and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot? And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed. And Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the first [month], in the first [day] of the month, thou shalt take a young bullock without blemish, and cleanse the sanctuary:

It is evident that there are subtle clues as to how long it will take to erect Ezekiel’s Temple. It will take 33 years. The first way to determine this is the fact that the last indignation is eradicated from the earth in 2060, as already established. After this indignation is accomplished, the Temple will be open for worship. Jesus Christ will commission the Temple to be built shortly after he miraculously saves the Jews in 2027. When we subtract, 2060-2027 = 33 years. The vision given by Daniel concerning the little horn of the goat, and the daily sacrifice, and the abomination of desolation, spans over a period of 2300 years. When the 2300 years is accomplished, the sanctuary will be cleansed. This occurs at the same time the last indignation is accomplished, or in 2060.

We can also determine this from a historical type in Scripture, found in the description of the reign of King David.

2 Samuel 5:5 - In Hebron he reigned over Judah seven years and six months: and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty and three years over all Israel and Judah.

1 Kings 2:11 - And the days that David reigned over Israel [were] forty years: seven years reigned he in Hebron, and thirty and three years reigned he in Jerusalem.

1 Chronicles 3:4 - [These] six were born unto him in Hebron; and there he reigned seven years and six months: and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty and three years.

1 Chronicles 29:27 - And the time that he reigned over Israel [was] forty years; seven years reigned he in Hebron, and thirty and three [years] reigned he in Jerusalem.

King David reigned in Hebron for 7 years and 6 months, and reigned 33 years in Jerusalem. It seems bold to make a direct connection to how long it will take to build Ezekiel’s Temple. However, let us consider the importance of the length of David’s reign in Hebron. His reign of 7 years and 6 months in Hebron is also the exact amount of time that Solomon took to build his Temple!

1 Kings 6:1 - And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month Zif, which [is] the second month, that he began to build the house of the LORD.

1 Kings 6:38 - And in the eleventh year, in the month Bul, which [is] the eighth month, was the house finished throughout all the parts thereof, and according to all the fashion of it. So was he seven years in building it.

He started building the Temple in his 4th year, 2nd month and finished the temple in his 11th year, 8th month. This is a total of 7 years and 6 months. Is this a mere coincidence? The reign of King David reveals a pattern. It may be the case that the reign of King David in Jerusalem parallels the length of time required to fully complete Ezekiel’s Temple, namely 33 years. From the year 2027 when Jesus Christ assumes the throne of David, he will parallel the 40 year reign of David and the 40 year reign of Solomon in setting up the Kingdom of God. During these 40 years, the work of Elijah is to gather all the Jews that are scattered in the isles of the world and to locate them in Jerusalem. Once this is complete, in the year 2067, the Kingdom of God will commence throughout the earth.

A third way to determine this is from a type in the Old Testament, in the book of Leviticus, concerning the ceremonial uncleanness of women after giving birth. A woman was unclean for 33 days after circumcising a newly born male child (Leviticus 12:4). The verse is quoted below:

Leviticus 12:4 - And she shall then continue in the blood of her purifying three and thirty days; she shall touch no hallowed thing, nor come into the sanctuary, until the days of her purifying be fulfilled.

The law is explicitly clear. She had to wait 33 days before she was ceremonially clean to enter the Sanctuary. Even so, everyone, including the Bride of Christ, will have to wait 33 years before entering the Millennial Sanctuary. This is because no man is able to enter the Temple until all 7 plagues are fulfilled (Revelation 15:8). Christ standing on the Mount of Olives will commence the outpouring of the 7th vial, triggering an earthquake "such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great" (Revelation 16:18) on August 2nd 2027. 33 years later, in 2060, the 7th vial judgment will be complete with the destruction of the Papal whore of Babylon, and the Temple will be open for worship.

The command to build Ezekiel’s Temple will commence on Elul 1, the 6th month, 1st day of the month, or Thursday, September 2, 2027. This is based on the historical type of rebuilding Jerusalem provided by the prophet Haggai in the time of Ezra.

Haggai 1:1-8 - In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet unto Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, This people say, The time is not come, the time that the LORD'S house should be built. Then came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying, [Is it] time for you, O ye, to dwell in your cieled houses, and this house [lie] waste? Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways. Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages [to put it] into a bag with holes. Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways. Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith the LORD.

Therefore, having established Elul 1 is the Hebrew day that the Lord Jesus Christ will command Ezekiel’s Temple will be built, and that it will be finished in the year 2060, is it possible to determine what day Ezekiel’s Temple will be finished? The clue is found in the historical type in which Ezra's house of the LORD was finished.

Ezra 6:15 - And this house was finished on the third day of the month Adar, which was in the sixth year of the reign of Darius the king.

Therefore, we can expect on the 3rd day of Adar for the year 2060 to be the day in which Ezekiel’s Temple will be complete. Adar always refers to the last month of the year, even when an extra month is added. In the year 2060, an additional month will be added to the Hebrew calendar, making this day Adar II 3. To determine the appropriate Gregorian conversion, we need to verify when the correct day for Adar II 1 occurs based on the sighting of the new moon in Jerusalem. The data is presented below.
Therefore, after adding 2 days, Adar II 3 will be on Saturday, March 6, 2060.

You may have already considered that 33 years was also the estimated lifetime of Jesus Christ in the flesh here on earth. There are differences in scholarly opinion concerning the exact date he was born, and the precise day of the week of his crucifixion, but most scholars are in agreement on the facts that his lifetime was approximately 33 years and that he was resurrected on Sunday, the first day of the week. For the purpose of discussion, I will submit my opinion that Jesus Christ was born on Tishrei 15, the first day of the Feast of Tabernacles, in the year 7 B.C. This would place the birth of Jesus 6 months after John the Baptist which would have been born on Nisan 14, the day of Passover. 33 years from 7 B.C. with no year 0 would be 27 A.D. Therefore, Jesus Christ died on Nisan 14, Passover in 27 A.D. and was resurrected the following Sunday, the first day of the week. Having established the years and months in question, we need to determine the Julian date conversions as well as the appropriate start for each month based on the sighting of the new moon. The data is presented below.
Therefore, we can determine the corresponding days Jesus Christ was born and risen from the dead. The data is presented below.
To compare the amount of time it takes from the commandment to build Ezekiel’s Temple to the time that Ezekiel’s Temple is complete to Jesus’ birth and re-birth from the dead, the table is presented below.
It is impossible that this is a coincidence. The amount of time is the same! Only God Almighty could design human history and the future with such precision. This relationship increases confidence in the following:

  1. The command to build Ezekiel’s Temple will be on September 2, 2027 which is the same Hebrew date that the LORD commanded by Haggai to build the LORD’s house in the days of Ezra (6th month, 1st day).
  2. Ezekiel’s Temple will be totally complete on March 6, 2060 which is the same Hebrew date that the builders in the days of Ezra finished the house of the LORD (Last month, 3rd day).
  3. It will take approximately 33 years to build Ezekiel’s Temple.
  4. God had each specific Hebrew date recorded in the Bible as a historical type to fulfill each one of them as a type during the second advent of the Lord Jesus Christ as he sets up the Kingdom of God.

Therefore, Ezekiel’s Temple will be finished on Saturday, March 6, 2060.

The next thing to address is when Ezekiel’s Temple will be open for worship to all nations. Recall that no one was allowed to enter in Ezekiel’s Temple until after the seventh vial judgment has expired. Before the Temple can be open for worship, it first needs to be cleansed. When does this occur? A clue is given in Ezekiel.

Ezekiel 45:18 - Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the first [month], in the first [day] of the month, thou shalt take a young bullock without blemish, and cleanse the sanctuary:

The table below shows Nisan 1, 5820 based on the sighting of the new moon.
Therefore, after 27 days from March 6 to April 2, the sanctuary will be cleansed. This will finally fulfill an ancient prophecy written in Daniel.

Daniel 8:13-14 - Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain [saint] which spake, How long [shall be] the vision [concerning] the daily [sacrifice], and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot? And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.

The 2300 days represent 2300 years of human history which commences with the little horn of the goat advancing south, east, and toward the holy land (Daniel 8:9). This is because, according to Daniel’s vision, this entity is ultimately responsible for desolating the Jews. Subtracting 2300Hebrew years from 2060 with no year 0 takes us back to 241 B.C. (242 B.C. when subtracting Gentile years. Because of the large span of time, it becomes necessary to use 365.25 as the length of a year.) This is the first evidence of the Romans advancing south from their city in Rome. The Pyrrhic wars between Greece and Rome from 280 B.C. – 275 B.C. allowed the Romans to capture the Italian Peninsula (2300 years later with no year 0 takes us to 2027!). The year 241 B.C., more specifically on March 10th (Nisan 2), is monumental in Roman history because it is the year they captured Sicily, beginning their conquest southward, winning the First Punic War, and becoming a dominant power in the Western Mediterranean. 2300 Nisan 1's later, the sanctuary will be cleansed!
March 10th 241 B.C. would be considered the “birth” of the little horn of the goat (This little horn of Daniel 8 is depicting a different part of history from the little horn of Daniel 7. It is showing the development of Rome out of Greece. The little horn of Daniel 7 shows the development of the Holy Roman Empire, but both horns are cut off at the same time in 2060!). From there, the Romans made their expansion primarily toward the east, crossing the Adriatic Sea. Eventually, the Romans were in possession of the land of Israel in which the capital city of Jerusalem was “trodden under foot” by the Gentile nations. Because the Roman Empire was in control of Israel in the time of Jesus Christ, the Roman Empire is confirmed as the entity being described as the little horn of the goat. Jesus Christ made this clear.

Luke 21:24 - And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

Paying attention to the future tense “shall be trodden down”, we know that the Romans were responsible for desolating Jerusalem in 70 A.D. Jerusalem has been trodden under foot ever since.

Revelation 11:2 - But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty [and] two months.

Therefore, is the day that Ezekiel’s Temple is cleansed also on the same day in which the “times of the Gentiles” are fulfilled? It is close! Recall that Revelation 15:8 states that “no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled.” Consider the following. Recall from the previous article (The Year 2060) that the Holy Roman Empire began on the day that Charlemagne was crowned Holy Roman Emperor by Pope Leo III on Christmas Day, Friday, December 25, 800 A.D. Therefore, in 42 prophetic months, or 1260 years later in 2060, Papal Europe, the last manifestation of this Empire, will finally be defeated. Let us assume for now that Papal Europe will be defeated on Nisan 1, the same day that the sanctuary will be cleansed. The table below displays the calculation between the two dates.

As mentioned before, it is close! The estimate is off by 0.09589*365, or 34.99999 days. Therefore, let us suppose that Papal Europe was defeated 35 days prior to April 2. The sighting of the new moon for the month Adar I 1 and the date conversions are displayed below.

Notice that February 27, 2060 gives us precisely 1260 years from the formation of the Holy Roman Empire. Therefore, this is when Papal Europe will be defeated. This will also be the last day of the pouring out of the seventh vial, and the end of the seven thunders (Revelation 10:3,4). Therefore, on the 12th month, 25th day on the Julian calendar, the Holy Roman Empire begins, and it is consequently defeated on the 12th month, 25th day on the Hebrew calendar! Is this a coincidence?  It follows that this is also the same day the Gentiles have “time no longer” according to the vision of the angel with a rainbow upon his head as he has finally established his rule over the whole earth (Revelation 10:6).

Revelation 10:1,2,5,6 - And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow [was] upon his head, and his face [was] as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire: And he had in his hand a little book open:and he set his right foot upon the sea, and [his] left [foot] on the earth, And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven, And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:

Therefore, it is established that February 27, 2060 is the first day in 1260 years that there will be no Pope.

Ezekiel 40:1 - In the five and twentieth year of our captivity, in the beginning of the year, the tenth [day] of the month, in the fourteenth year after that the city was smitten, in the selfsame day the hand of the LORD was upon me, and brought me thither.

The context of Ezekiel 40 will establish that Ezekiel was beholding a completed Temple on Nisan 10. He is commanded to tell the whole house of Israel everything he saw. If Nisan 1 occurs on Friday, April 2, 2060, then Nisan 10 occurs on Sunday, April 11, 2060.

Ezekiel 45:21-23 - In the first [month], the fourteenth day of the month, ye shall have the passover, a feast of seven days; unleavened bread shall be eaten. And upon that day shall the prince prepare for himself and for all the people of the land a bullock [for] a sin offering. And seven days of the feast he shall prepare a burnt offering to the LORD, seven bullocks and seven rams without blemish daily the seven days; and a kid of the goats daily [for] a sin offering.

Nisan 14 will occur on Thursday, April 15, 2060. Christ will offer a Passover sacrifice.

One idea Christians consider repugnant today is the idea of restoring the sacrifices once practiced in the Mosaic Law, especially the idea of Jesus Christ offering an animal for a sin offering! The argument is that these sacrifices point forward to Christ's sacrifice, which is once for all time, and there is no more need to sacrifice animals. Yet, this assertion is made in the face of what God has clearly revealed in Scripture. Jesus Christ himself, the Prince, will offer a bullock for a sin offering for himself and for all the people on Passover. The first point to make is the animal sacrifices never had the power to take away sin (Hebrews 10:4,11). Even so, the animal sacrifices during the Millennium will not have the power to take away sin. No one is claiming this is the purpose of the Millennial sacrifices. Only Christ's sacrifice had the power to take away sin. The purpose of the Millennial sacrifices will be to teach the people born during the Millennium the significance of Christ's sacrifice. It will be a continual memorial. Every year the people will keep the Feast of Tabernacles (Zechariah 14:16-18), a yearly remembrance of sins, lest the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins (Hebrews 10:2-3).

The most important things to bear in mind during these last few dark Gentile days are the following. There will be a "New World Order": a One World Dictator (Revelation 19:15), a one world government (Isaiah 9:7, Revelation 11:15), a one world religion (Jeremiah 31:34, John 4:23, Zechariah 14:16), and a people of one language (Zephaniah 3:9). Does this rhetoric sound familiar? The Middle East Dictator that rises up after the events of Armageddon is Jesus Christ of Nazareth! August 2nd 2027 will forever bear a testimony to that, especially since we can forsee this event so precisely using the Bible. The world will believe that he is the Antichrist. The world will be deceived. They expect Antichrist to build the Temple. They expect the Antichrist to restore Jewish Mosaic sacrifices. Where is that Bible verse at? Jesus Christ will comission the Temple to be built (2 Samuel 7:14, Zechariah 6:12,13,15). Jesus Christ will restore the sacrifices (Ezekiel 45:21-23). Jesus Christ will rule these nations with a rod of iron (Psalm 2:9, Revelation 19:15). The world has turned democratic, and will not initially tolerate an authoritarian to rule over them, even if it is Jesus Christ. There are no negotiations to be had. He is the King, and your King, whether you like it or not. Every knee is going to bow (Phillipians 2:10, Romans 14:11). If you find yourself in a nation that believes he is the Antichrist and makes war against him, but you personally recognize him as Jesus Christ and wish to submit to him, flee your country! (Revelation 18:4). It is far better to become a refugee in a country that submits to Jesus Christ.
